David D. Alsop

Shortly after we opened our office in Minneapolis, David came to Gislason & Hunter, wanting to practice in the firm where his father had been a partner. A native of New Ulm, David has successfully counseled clients with a broad range of concerns, and tried over 170 cases to conclusion.  This experience has taught him to listen carefully, think creatively and act decisively to achieve favorable resolutions. David has been selected as one of Minnesota Super Lawyers for over seven years by the Minnesota Journal of Law and Politics.  In addition, in 2005 David was selected as only one of sixty personal injury lawyers in Minnesota for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America by Woodward and White.

PRACTICE
David practices defense law in all areas of civil litigation and personal injury, in state and federal courts. He has extensive experience in malpractice defense for hospitals, physicians and other medical providers, and frequently speaks to health care professionals on medical negligence and the prevention of malpractice suits. His other areas of expertise include employment litigation, premises liability and automobile liability litigation.
