James R. Gowling

Jim is an experienced trial attorney, specializing for over 35 years in trial and appellate work in the areas of personal injury, professional malpractice, auto and general liability, product liability, employment, commercial and insurance lawsuits of all types. Jim and Marcia Gowling live in Apple Valley and have three children. Jim is active in his community, enjoys water sports and outdoor activities at the family cabin in Northern Minnesota, enjoys playing tennis, volleyball, and golf as well as coaching youth athletics.

PRACTICE
Jim’s practice over the past 35 years has evolved from that of an aggressive prosecuting attorney through a more general insurance defense and civil trial practice, into a practice that concentrates on trial of more complex personal injury and professional liability cases. He held the highest attorney rating (AV) from Martindale-Hubbell for over 30 years and has tried more than 450 cases.
