Andrew M. Tatge

Growing up in the Mankato area, Andrew learned the importance of hard work and customer service while working at his family's convenience store.  Andrew combines his small-town upbringing with his business and law education to provide sophisticated representation while maintaining his down-to-earth values.  Andrew has written articles on numerous general legal issues pertaining to the legal needs of businesses and individuals, and has spoken locally about choice of entity considerations for starting up or growing a business.

Andrew's practice is focused in the areas of Commercial, Corporate and Business Law, Family Law and Divorce, Real Estate and Litigation.

Business Law and Real Estate Practice

• Represented buyers and sellers in numerous businesses and real estate transactions;
• Assisted clients with all aspects of business entity formation and conversion;
• Assisted business clients with various general counseling, including management and governance, ongoing business review and documentation, obligations of directors and officers, relations with shareholders, employee-related issues, zoning and real estate issues, and issues with local, state and federal government;
• Represented clients in numerous business and real estate litigation matters, including motions and appeals;
• Represented landlords and tenants in commercial lease matters.

Family Law Practice

• Represented clients in divorces involving complex financial issues, including businesses;
• Represented clients in custody and related proceedings, including proceedings involving out-of-state orders;

• Advised clients regarding modification of existing court orders;
• Represented domestic abuse victims in order for protection hearings.

 

General Litigation Practice

• Andrew is able to rely on his vast courtroom experience as a law clerk in understanding the inner workings of the courts and how to effectively represent his clients in judicial proceedings.  As an attorney, Andrew's litigation experience includes representing clients in building code and construction negligence cases, inverse condemnation proceedings and various business-related litigation.
