At Gislason & Hunter we are dedicated to being committed to the communities in which we live and work through our corporate giving program, volunteerism and participation in community events and initiatives.

New Ulm

At the New Ulm office employees deliver meals on wheels, host in house events to raise funds for local charities, and both Attorneys and staff serve on a variety of local civic boards and committees.  When a chapter of Kids against Hunger was established in New Ulm, Gislason & Hunter was the first major donor to participate in the project.  The community has been able to rely on the firm for support in historic restoration projects for local landmarks and monuments and expansion projects for the local hospital.

Minneapolis

When a devastating tornado struck the Metro Area, the Minneapolis Attorneys and staff rallied to quickly raise funds for the American Red Cross.  Funds to provide dental services to financially challenged families is a charitable program driven by one of the attorneys and all employees join in the annual Toys for Tots drive.

Gislason & Hunter Minneapolis Office conducts successful food drive raising funds and collecting food for Second Harvest Food Shelf.

Mankato

The Mankato office has chosen a variety of charities that address hunger.  They are regular donors to the local food shelf in both food and funds and are a supporter of the BackPack Food Program.  The program is focused on ensuring that students have nutritious food when school is out.  Breakfast, lunch and a snack are placed confidentially in students backpacks for each day of the weekend or school break.

Des Moines

In Des Moines, Youth Emergency Services and Shelter is the charity of choice.  The mission of this organization is to provide food, shelter and guidance to challenged youth in the Des Moines area.
